‘Los’ – A Virtual Journey with Klaus Merz

Sackstrasse 36, 8342 Wernetshausen; followed by drinks and snacks at Sennerei Bachtel

The Swiss writer Klaus Merz reads from his short story ‘Los’, in which his protagonist sets off on a mountain hike from which he will not return. The reading (in German) is an unusual translation of literature into the medium of film, and takes place in virtual space.

The filmmaker Sandro Zollinger interweaves words and space, summoning a range of atmospheres and associations. The virtual reading pulls the viewer in, creating a whole new literary experience. The film has been screened at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, among others, and was awarded the New Horizon Prize.

The virtual reading takes place once at 6 pm and again at 6:45 pm. Afterwards, the writer and filmmaker will talk about working together and answer audience questions – followed by a drinks reception at Sennerei Bachtel.

Seats are limited, by prior registration only. Entry is not possible after the readings begin.
