Translating Ulysses: Film matinee

The documentary Translating Ulysses showcases Kawa Nemir and the poetic and political challenges of translating James Joyce’s linguistic miracle Ulysses into Kurdish. A screening at Zürich’s Filmpodium at 11:15 am on 4 November will be followed by a conversation between the directors Aylin Kuryel and Firat Yucel and the translator Kawa Nemir himself (in English). Chair: Ulrich Blumenbach.
