Texts Without Borders: In the Space Between - Između

They represent three generations of writers: the Serbian translator and author Olga Serafimovski Milenković came to Switzerland in the early 1970s, the poet Violeta Aleksić in the 1990s. Both write in Serbian, meaning they’re visible only for the diaspora. Goran Vulović is the face of the younger generation. Born in Switzerland, he writes about the allegedly voiceless ‘guest worker’ generation in dialect. What unites all three is that they address the subjects of memory, restlessness and (linguistic) identity ‘in the space between’ – each interpreting them very differently.
A bilingual staged reading, accompanied by rap songs by Goran Vulović alias MC Milchmaa and Hannes Barfuss.
