Coming up

The second edition of our series Texts Without Borders launches at the Solothurn Days of Literature. This year, the focus is on the languages Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian.

The stars of the show are Violeta Aleksić (writer), Olga Serafimovski Milenković (translator and writer) and the rapper Goran Vulović alias Milchmaa, as a writer and musician along with Hannes Barfuss (sounds). The event takes place a second time at Kulturmarkt Zürich at 8 pm on 27 June.

The translation programme at Solothurn features Nataša Medved and Jamie Lee Searle in conversation with Kim de l’Horizon about their translation of Kim’s award-winning debut Blutbuch into Croatian and English.

The festival also presents portraits of various translators: Florian Bissig (en > de), Ruth Gantert (rr, fr, it > de), Joël László (arab > de), Yann Stutzig (de > fr), Lucie Tardin (ital > fr) and Steven Wyss (fr > de).
