Aperte le candidature per i Corsi di traduzione di Casa della Letteratura per la Svizzera italiana fino al 15 dicembre 2025. 

Composti da 30 ore di laboratorio e 8 di masterclass (10 lezioni + 4 masterclass aperte al pubblico), il corso VOCI SVIZZERE CONTEMPORANEE # 1 prevede di lavorare su traduzioni di racconti di autrici e autori elvetiche ed elvetici, in lingua francese e tedesca. È in programma inoltre una lezione in collaborazione con Translation House Looren, a cura di Margherita Carbonaro, con focus sulle pratiche utili per proporre una traduzione in casa editrice. 

I corsi, curati da Maurizia Balmelli e Anna Ruchat, prendono avvio a gennaio (FR > IT) e febbraio (DE > IT), sino ad aprile 2026. Info: www.casadellaletteratura.ch

Artists and cultural practitioners (individuals and artist duos) based in Switzerland who are active in any of the disciplines supported by Pro Helvetia may apply for a three-month residency in the regions of Pro Helvetia’s liaison offices.

The residency programme support includes accommodation, travel expenses, daily allowances, and professional guidance. Artists with childcare responsibilities may also apply for support to help with childcare expenses.

As the language industry has embraced machine translation and post-editing since the advent of DeepL in 2017, the practice of literary translation has remained resolutely hands-on. This webinar takes as its starting point the belief that literary translation is and should remain a quintessentially human activity, but that Gen AI-based tools offer us an unparallelled resource, a valuable opportunity to plug into the linguistic hive-mind.
