Slovak Grants 2021
Miłosz Waligórski was born in 1981 in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and now lives in Serbia. He is a translator from Hungarian, Serbo-Croatian and Slovakian into Polish and has translated works by Lajos Grendel, Daniela Kapitáňová and Miljenko Jergović, among others. For his work on Peter Balko's novel Østrov (Island), he was awarded a Slovak grant from the Stefan und Viera Frühauf Fund of Translation House Looren.
