Julia Schoch from Potsdam, Germany, born in 1974, is a German author and translator. She translates from French into German; her work includes translations of, amongst others, Fred Vargas and Georges Hynvernaud. With the re-translation of Saint-Exupéry, she won the André-Gide-Price of the DVA foundation. She is working on the translation of Ecrits sur le sable – Journaliers of Isabelle Erhardt at the Translation House Looren from November 27 – December 10, 2017. Her stay is financed by a scholarship from The Elmar-Tophoven-Fund of the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds.
